WARNING: This gallery contains drawings depicting full frontal male nudity as well as gay art. If this ofends you then go no further.  Flaming me after reading this warning will only serve to show your ignorance and will have no effect on me what so ever.

Wow! It seems like forever since I have posted anything here. I got so wrapped up in posting at another site which allows more freedom of what you can post that I just neglected my gallery here.

I want to thank all of you who still popped in from time to time and left comments on what I have posted here. I am back now and will be posting more frequently or as often as I'm allowed anyway. ;o)

I hope you all like the new stuff and the change in my style. All comments and critiques are appreciated. Critiques do not hurt my feelings at all. In fact I enjoy a good critique.  *I really do*

Anyway, it's good to be back.

A Native American Proverb:

"Treat the earth well: It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

Good advice don't you think?

Interests
My interests are wide and varied. Way too many to try and list here. But if ya want to know all ya have to do is ask. :o)
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV Shows
I loved The Chronicals of Narnia, Legend, The Lord of the Rings, The Last Unicorn, Underworld, both parts, The Star Wars movies, Lost in Space, Star Trek the next Generation and this list goes on. I don't watch a lot of TV. The shows that I do watch from time to time are Supernatural, Moon Light, Goosebumps, and a few others of the supernatural genra. If I spend any amount of time in front of the TV it is because I'm bored out of my mind and then I'm usually watching either the Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Animal Planet, HGTV or the Food Network. Too much TV will rot your brain. ;o)
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books
My favorite books are most anything written by Steven King or Dean Kuntz. I don't really care for Sci-Fi books.
Favorite Music
I don't really have a favorite type of music as I like some of all kinds of music. I like Country, Rock, Jazz, Gospel, Rap, Bluegrass, Easy Listening, Blues, Pop, New Age, Heavy Metal and there's actually a few Opera songs that I like. I can't listen to just one form all the time. I like to switch around.

Thanx for d concern mate... ya it was a bad time and the city was shut for three days... but life moves on and it has come back to normalcy now... hope this year turns out better 2

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "I’m glad to hear that everything is ok now. If I could have but one wish I’d truly wish for world peace. It’d be so nice to not hear of any more wars and killings. What makes me sick is that it’s the governments of countries that start wars not the people. I say that if they want to fight then let them fight each other and not get their people killed. If they had to do that I’ll bet a lot of fighting would stop. ;o) "

I see COLOUR!

And I just noticed you updated, quite a lot. I will be back later.

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "Yes, there is color and I updated quite a bit. I’m looking forward to your return visit and your comments. "

Ok first of all let me say i think your very talented and are quite clearly adept with pen and ink. But is it completely necessary to have so many naked images? Now all i’m saying is that with your skill surely you could create intimate and loving images within a gay context that more people would want to see. It could show people that gay is ok and not put them off knowing about something they don’t understand. Your Headless Horseman picture is amazing

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "Hi Perrie. Thank you for the comment and the compliment. They are both very much appreciated.
I understand how you feel about all the nudity as some people are not comfortable with male nudity. With some of my newer submissions I have tried to clothe my figures and as you can see I didn’t do a very good job of it. Truth of the matter is that I’ve been trying for for 46 years to learn to draw clothes and I just can’t get the hang of it. The only way that I can draw good clothes it to draw super hero type costumes. I spent twenty years drawing comic book art and I finally got tired of it. So I have no desire to put those kinds of costumes on my characters. That leaves speedo type swimming trunks or loin clothes and that gets real boring after a while.
And some of my characters are nude because they aren’t human and clothing is a human trait so I see no need to put clothes on a none human.

People have a tendency to humanize things like putting clothes on animals and stuff like that.
I’ve seen numerous drawings of Werewolves wearing pants. Now how much sense does that make? I’ve seen demons wearing clothes as well. What kind of clothing could withstand the fires of hell? My Demons don’t have clothes and neither do my Mer people as they don’t need them. For me putting any kind of clothing on a mer person would be like putting clothes on a fish. And where would they get the material to make clothes from and how would they make them even if they had the material.

As for the gay aspect I don’t think that I have posted anything in that area that is overly sexual in any way. The gay art that I have posted I have tried to show a tenderness between to two men that was based more on love than sex.

And I mean no offense by this and I don’t mean to sound hateful about it but I can’t understand how any artist can be offended by nudity when some of the most famous works of art in the world are of nudes and museums are full of them. The art works of ancient Greece is world renowned and most of it is nudes. The most famous statue in the world is the statue of David by da Vinci and it’s nude. I would have nude women in my gallery if I could draw women worth a damn, but I find it extremely hard to draw women. My older sister found it extremely hard to draw a man but her women were stunning.

Anyway, I hope I’ve helped you to understand why I draw so many nudes. Thanks again for the compliment and the comment. "

I think I exhausted my self and missed a few. I’m sure to be back.
Only one complaint (Apart from the all ’new’ Elfwood 12 ) the coloured ones with the fancy Photo Shopped textures seem to loose some of the original pictures impact. Get them all coloured like Dark Incubus and ... well .

You’ll have to learn how to do it.

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "Come back any time as I always enjoy hearing from you. Yeah, if I could get the program and learn how to use it like my friend did when she colored Dark Incubus all my art would be in color. "

Hello, old friend. Just stopping by to see if you were still around. Miss ya!

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "Hello Robin my Sweet. Yeah, I’m still here. Haven’t done much in the way of art lately though. So good to hear from you again. I miss you too. *hugs*"

Let me say thank you! Thanks for drawing men. Thanks for drawing nude men. Thanks for drawing nude men that seem to be circumcised. Thanks for being proud! Americans are such prudes! Your work is gorgeous. I’d love to cover my walls with life size copies of each piece!

1 Wayne H. Hodge replies: "You’re welcome on all four accounts. Thank you for the wonderful compliment on my art. You’re right, many, many Americans are prudes and believe me I’ve had my share of them when it comes to my art. Thank you again for the wonderful compliment. =) "

Hey Wayne!
Great gallery you’ve got there, much skills and really interesting subjects!
In fact I think I can learn a lot from you, just recently I’ve started to work with the male bodies and I find the subject very difficult (Women on the other hand are not a problem) Anyway, I’ve really enjoyed your gallery mate, well done! 12

:-) Wayne H. Hodge replies: "Hi Yoni. Thank you for the compliment on my gallery. I’m glad you liked it.
For me it is just the opposite. I find women extremely difficult to draw. When I first started to learn to draw all I ever drew were women and they never turned out all that well. This went on for five years or better and then one day for some reason I decided to try and draw a man. Was I ever surprised. I couldn’t believe how well it came out. The in later years I read a quote from Boris Vallejo who said that you should always draw what you draw best. That did it for me. I draw men the best so that’s what I’m going to stick to. If you want to use any of my art as reference please feel free to do so. I’m more than happy to help out. "
